Bertrand Bible Church

Welcome

Thank you for visiting the Bertrand Bible Church website.

The Bertrand Bible Church is an Independent, Bible believing-teaching-practicing Church. We seek to share the love of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ with the Niles, Michigan and Michiana area. Our goal is fourfold:

Our History:

The roots of the Bertrand Bible Church go back to 1831. A group of believers gathered in the Truitt home and later met in a small white frame building known as Truitt's Chapel. In 1925 the church moved to its present location. In 1947 the name of the church was officially changed to Bertrand Bible Church. The first meeting in the current Sanctuary was held in May of 1960. The Bertrand Bible Church continues to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Focus:

Our focus is to teach the Word of God in a clear understandable manner which can be applied to current living needs. We want each person who attends to be able to live out the Word of God by the strength and power given by the Holy Spirit.

We are an Intentional Disciple Making Church. We believe that before Jesus ascended to His Father, He commanded all believers to, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you." (Matthew 28:19,20) As a church we structure our small Bible study groups and other church ministries to train and make disciples.

Our church offers a wide variety of services and activities in order to meet the above goals. On the Welcome Page is a list of some of them.
