BERTRAND BIBLE CHURCH TEAMS UP WITH ANGEL FOOD MINISTRTIES AS A DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Anyone who eats is automatically qualified

Angel Food Ministries, a non-profit, non-denominational organization, began in 1994 as a small outreach ministry serving a rural community in Georgia. The goal was to help neighbors who needed a hand up in a tough economic time. Today, Angel Food Ministries can be found in over 3,200 communities in 34 states and helps feed over 500,000 families a month.

Angel Food partners with churches and community organizations throughout the country to help distribute food to those in need. For $30.00* you can purchase a box of food containing both fresh and frozen items. Our food items are first quality. No seconds or out-of–date items

Blessings by the box

Angel Food's groceries are sold in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $30 per unit. Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $50. Comparison shopping has been done across the country in various communities using a wide range of retail grocery stores and has resulted in the same food items costing from between $42 and $78.

Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one would purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.

Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork. Many participants in this bonus program appreciate the expanded choices. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or bonus foods an individual can purchase, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere. Angel Food Ministries, like most all other retail grocery stores, also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program, using the Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher system.

How It Works

Each month there is a deadline to order the units. Orders must be placed and paid for by this deadline. Questions & Answers
It's both a blessing and a bargain!

WHY IS BERTRAND BIBLE CHURCH DOING THIS?
At Bertrand Bible Church our desire is to minister to all your needs not just food for the soul but food for the body.
We desire to reach out into the community and help in any way possible.

WHAT IS ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES?
Angel Food Ministries, founded by Pastors Joe and Linda Wingo, is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States. Angel Food Ministries crosses all denominational lines and has spread the good news of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST through salvation tracts that are placed in each box of food.

WHEN DID ANGEL FOOD START?
The program began with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia in 1994. Today, God has multiplied this outreach effort and it has grown to over 3,200 communities in 38 states and helps feed over 500,000 families a month.

WHERE DOES THE FOOD COME FROM?
Our food is "restaurant grade" meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which we acquire through our involvement with only the best producers/vendors of high quality, "name brand" foods. Never "seconds" or "day old" type products are involved.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
For $30.00, participants receive food worth approximately $60.00. Once a month, you (or someone you would like to help), can order wonderful boxes of frozen meats, fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, and staple items. This is top quality, name brand food that you would find in the best grocery stores. It is not "day-old" or "outdated" items and no dented cans without labels.

HOW MUCH FOOD IS IN A $30.00 BOX?
There are 17 to 20 items in each box. The variety of items is designed to assist in feeding a family of four for about one week, or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The menu changes every month, so you will never get bored eating the same old thing.

CAN WE PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE UNIT OR SPECIAL?
Yes, you can purchase as many regular units as you would like. To purchase a special box you must first order a regular unit.

ARE THERE ANY LIMITS?
NO. You can order as many boxes as you like. After you purchase one box for $30.00, you are qualified for the "Specials".

WHAT ARE THE "SPECIALS"?
Specials contain boxes frozen steaks, chicken or pork for under $20.00. There is something new every month, so check out the menu. The specials are optional items that are available only after you purchase one of the regular boxes.

IS THERE A MEMBERSHIP FEE?
NO membership is required. There is no fee. You are under no obligation to order every month.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?
Anyone who eats is automatically qualified. Angel Food is not a program based on need or income. There are no applications, no qualifications, no membership fees and no limits.
